Travelers Tips - Islanders


Excursion fares are available to individuals who submit a profile application (available on our downloadable forms page) to our Reservation Office. Upon acceptance, your profile number will either be updated or a new profile number issued. An identification card will be mailed to you.

To participate in the Preferred Program you must submit a signed application, copies of your vehicle registration(s) and proof of residence.

To participate in the Preferred Excursion Program, you are now required to be on your island town's Street List and you must submit a copy of your valid Massachusetts vehicle registration(s) with an island address and a copy of your valid Massachusetts driver's license with an island address. For Martha's Vineyard travel only, the Blue Line Standby Program is available to all participants in the Islander Preferred and the Preferred Excursion Programs. The Standby Program is available in Vineyard Haven and Woods Hole only. The program will allow up to fifteen cars per day to be placed in a standby line during the Martha's Vineyard Reservation Only Periods.
