Projects in Woods Hole, Vineyard Haven to affect operations

Posted: December 2, 2025

The pavement around the new Woods Hole Terminal began to be regraded on Monday, December 1. During each two-week phase of the project, one of the three vessel slips will be unavailable for use. In this first phase, Slip No. 3 (the northernmost slip) will be closed. During portions of his phase, traffic will enter and exit the terminal via Cowdry Road and the Luscombe Avenue exit will be unavailable. Click here for a map of the first phase of work. Maps of future phases of the regrading work can be viewed here: Phase 2 | Phase 3

Both of our transfer bridges (the metal bridges that provide vehicular and passenger access to the vessels) are being replaced at the Vineyard Haven Terminal over the next few weeks. The north slip (Slip No. 1) will be under construction first and will be followed by the south slip. Minor delays may be experienced during this project.

We apologize for the temporary disruptions due to this important work, and we thank you in advance for your patience.
