2026 Nantucket General Public Internet Opening
2026 General Public Opening for Nantucket Travel Reservations
We are pleased to announce the 2026 general public opening for Nantucket vehicle reservations, scheduled for 8 a.m. January 27, 2026. During this period, reservations will be accepted for travel from May 14, 2026, through October 22, 2026.

Summer vehicle reservations cannot be made by phone during the online opening period. However, our Reservation Office will be available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. to assist with login credentials, such as passwords or PINs.- For assistance, please call our Reservation Line at (508) 477-8600.
- Customers are encouraged to log in to their accounts ahead of time to ensure they are prepared for opening day.
- Virtual Waiting Room:

Please note: When making a vehicle reservation, you must provide the year, make, model, and license plate number of the vehicle you will be transporting. All vehicle reservations are non-transferable.
Payments
To book passage for your vehicle, payment must be made at the time of your reservation. Online reservations must be paid for at the time of booking. For telephone or in-person reservations, payment must be made within 5 days of booking. If made less than 5 days before your travel date, payment is due the day before you travel. We accept cash, check, Steamship Authority gift card, American Express, MasterCard, Visa or Discover credit cards for advance reservations. Service fees are assessed for returned checks.
